My experience with technology in an educational setting has improved immensely. Growing up in Connecticut, we used chalkboards and little roll-ey projectors that you can write on. However, when I moved to Georgia, I walked into classrooms with bright, clean whiteboards and projectors that you could hook up to a computer. While I had never thought of using this kind of technology in a classroom, they were readily available to every teacher and student in my new school. In addition to this, each classroom was equipped with a set of laptops for each student and interactive smart boards.
I hope to refine my current knowledge and skills in using the technology that I am already familiar with, in addition to finding new ways to use the current technology. I am also looking forward to utilizing new forms of technology to better teach my future students. Technology can positively impact the world if used correctly, and I am looking to inspire the future generations.
