About Lauren

Welcome to my blog! I am new at this so bear with me. My name is Lauren Vetrano and I am currently pursuing my college education as a second year student. My major is soon to be elementary education. I have always loved working with kids and being able to see them grow, so being a teacher is very fitting for me. I have lived in a total of three states so far being Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Georgia. I studied abroad in Spain my first semester of Freshman ear, and am looking forward to traveling more.

My experience with technology in an educational setting has improved immensely. Growing up in Connecticut, we used chalkboards and little roll-ey projectors that you can write on. However, when I moved to Georgia, I walked into classrooms with bright, clean whiteboards and projectors that you could hook up to a computer. While I had never thought of using this kind of technology in a classroom, they were readily available to every teacher and student in my new school. In addition to this, each classroom was equipped with a set of laptops for each student and interactive smart boards.

I hope to refine my current knowledge and skills in using the technology that I am already familiar with, in addition to finding new ways to use the current technology. I am also looking forward to utilizing new forms of technology to better teach my future students. Technology can positively impact the world if used correctly, and I am looking to inspire the future generations. Creative Commons License
